It was selected as an implementation agency for the real estate big data center construction project organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Intelligence and Social Security Agency (NIA).

The project to build a big data platform in the real estate sector is a key task of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s plan to foster new real estate industries announced in November last year. It will be promoted by the end of 2024 with the aim of establishing a base for the real estate data ecosystem and will contribute to fostering new real estate industries (proptech) and creating a foundation for linking public and private industries data.

As it has been selected as the organization in charge of the project, Refine plans to sign an agreement with NIA and actively cooperate in building a big data center through support projects such as government contributions.

In particular, Refine will develop open data using accumulated data such as about 5 million leases and provide data related to lease loans, lease return guarantees, and data products that can be acquired by combining and processing with various public books based on high market share.

“The rental data developed through the project is expected to be applied in various ways, including data-based housing policies, analysis of jeonse fraud types, fraud prevention models, and next-generation urban planning,” a Ripine official said. “We will try to smoothly supply data to the big data platform and contribute to the development of the real estate industry by operating the center.”
