KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) announced on the 24th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Venture Business Association to jointly support venture and start-ups’ overseas expansion.

Kim Yoon-tae, head of KOTRA’s Small and Medium Business Headquarters, and Kang Sam-kwon, chairman of the Venture Business Association, attended and signed the agreement ceremony at the 20th Venture Summer Forum in Busan.


The two organizations plan to establish a joint support system for innovative growth and global expansion of venture and start-ups through mutual cooperation. In particular, the company plans to jointly plan and promote information on overseas expansion for ▷ ventures and startups, share information on global networks to attract investment, and jointly discover demand companies ▷ foster global ventures and startups.

Kim Yoon-tae, head of the headquarters, said, “The biggest difficulties for venture and start-ups to advance overseas were the lack of information on overseas markets and difficulties in finding verified overseas partners.”
